more chocolate treats

After reading yet another article in the the March issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition about dark chocolate increasing good cholesterol i’m happy to report my latest portion controlled chocolate find: hershey’s extra dark 60% Cacao chocolate squares in Pure Mint and Pure Espresso. One square, perfect for a little after dinner treat, is just 50 calories (yes, its a bit high in saturated fat and sugar but you’re eating well overall, right??) As with all of my recommendations, if you find yourself eating more than one or two at a time perhaps it is best to keep things like this out of the house until you feel more confident in your ability to control yourself! Or you could try freezing them and just taking one out of the freezer at a time. In good health, Dr. Melina
