Ok. You’ve survived the first week of January back at work and your mid-way into the second week (and perhaps the first week of your diet?). So how are things going?
Most of my patients, with a few exeptions, made it through the holidays within a pound or two of where they started so the first thing that I am doing with all of them is working together to devise a plan. This is probably the MOST important part of any new diet; the when, where, how aspect.
Be realistic.
Can’t get to the gym everyday at 5am forever, so find a middle ground. Maybe 2 days a week, 2 walks at lunch and a long weekend workout. Don’t have time to pack your lunch everyday so start scouring the neighborhood for restaurants with healthy options so you have a nice variety. And finally, don’t be too strict with yourself otherwise come February 1 nothing will stand between you and the Krispy Kreme stand!
